A 2.8 hour flight from Sao Luis to Rochambeau, French Guyana.

Pouring rain.

Across the equator.

We planned to stop and eat lunch, but they wanted us to clear customs/immigration, and we didn't want to. Thierry instead found baguettes with ham, cheese, or both.

Satelite coverage...and lat/long coordinates (01 04.36S, 048 40.96W) well before we cross the equator. Attempting to find the equator on the GPS.

...and we completely miss the big huge crossing the equator event. Coords are 0 00.14N...and something I can't read W. Three problems here: 1) a fast plane; 2) we didn't plan at all for where the equator was; and 3) Bri never practiced how to do a shot like this.
