2010-06-26 -- Singapore to Borobudur

We flew from Singapore to Jogyakarta Airport (wikipedia), then had another hour and then some in a van to get up to Borobudur.

Sigh, only four days ago, and I just barely remember the flight. No, I take that back, I don't just barely remember it, I just don't remember it. Clearly this means that it was painless to get out of Singapore, painless to fly over, and painless to check in to Indonesia. Oh well.

The hotel Amanjiwo was a bit of a surprise. It looks quite old, but was constructed about ten years ago. It's all stone...or stone-looking. If you knock on the stones (not bricks, stone) they're hollow. Pure decoration. Too bad, it looks nice.

On arriving at the hotel, we walked into the lobby, with two girls holding pots surrounding the door. As we pass, they showered us with flower petals, which was a pleasant surprise (should have seen that coming, huh). We changed clothes, split a pizza by the pool, relaxed and/or napped, then met for dinner. I had (again) a chicken curry.
