2010-05-12 -- Quebec City to Kuujjuaq

A short 2.5 hour flight got us from Quebec City to Kuujjuaq. Fuel was quick and easy; walk into the terminal, ask for fuel! No releases, no authorization for payment, just get the guy with the truck to come out, dump some fuel in, pay with a credit card. A little pricey. US$12/gal for avgas,

The taxi driver wasn't answering his phone, but a nice guy with a van gave us a lift to the Nunavic Coop Hotel. No keys, just a business card with a combination code on it. Simple clean basic rooms, more than sufficient for being 500km from the nearest road.

It was now 3pm, and the non-pilots wandered over to the Old Chimo Cafe for a quick snack (because we forgot about the snacks we made at breakfast). Hamburgers (quite good), fries (quite good) and pizza.

A quick nap later and it was time for dinner at the Kuujjuak Inn. More american food.

The flight briefing ended the day.

All in all, just a fuel stop.

Like I said, simple basic clean rooms. Surprisingly comfortable bed, or maybe running around for 18 hours a day is finally catching up to me (which is bad when it's the third day of the trip).
